In the frame of Take Heart residency Lili is focusing on AI-aided analysis of artists’ text, to approach the artistic discourse from a seemingly more objective stand-point. Through inductive methods of the AI, expected and unexpected characteristics are found across the texts of many different artistic voices. Lili’s interest lies especially in what kind of a body is imagined through these texts.
In the first part of her research, she looked at the somewhat liminal case of speech - a scream. A phenomenon of pure disarticulation, which when coupled with a “typical artist’s library” opens new doorways into understanding voice.
